Abby and Andy

The two actually met through a sports hobby…badminton! Previously, they were partners in court, eventually became partners in life!

Atty Abby Santillan is the legal director of National Telecommunications Commission. Our initial meeting was set in her office in Quezon City. From the onset, she had made things clear to me what type of guests would they really have. Most of them are from the telecommunication industry where she belongs. She was very particular on how to handle her guests, even on how she wants the wedding to be. She gave me some detailed instructions and reminders for all the suppliers.

Everything has been coordinated with her caterer re the set-up of the reception venue that she wanted. The caterer really took the effort to painstakingly follow each and every rule she has. But during the bridal preparation, her account manager from the caterer called me up re some issues with the staff of the reception venue. Ceiling drapes has been agreed upon before hand. Apparently, a staff from the reception venue has stopped them to put on the ceiling drapes. Atty. Abby have informed me prior to advise her right away for any issues like this, so I had to tell it to her after I received the call. She made one phone call to a good friend of hers and mentioned the scenario. After 10 minutes, the objection of the reception venue staff has been over ruled. Now I realize, how powerful lawyers can be! Hehehe.

Since it was an evening wedding (7pm), we have to make sure to keep the reception program short and spontaneous. We practically started around 9pm already and ended the entire reception at around 1030pm. We were happy that most of the guests actually stayed until the end of the program.
